The Department of Education, Wellbeing and Youth (DoEWY) serves as a hub for collaboration, sharing, learning, and growing. It provides a platform for the fostering opportunities and uniting for change to reimagine and reframe current education paradigms. Simultaneously, the DoEW is rooted and in its committed to building a trust-based learning community to enhance wellbeing and advocates for equity and equality of in education, particularly within the unique context on the island of Hvar and broader region.

Mission

The Department of Education, Wellbeing and Youth (DoEWY) is driven by dual mission that encompasses both global and local initiatives. At its core, the DoEWY is dedicated to cultivating a worldwide network of devoted and inspiring educators and practitioners who share a common passion for reshaping landscape of education.


Objectives

  • Promote Inclusive Education: Advocate for inclusive, inspiring, engaging, kind, mindful, caring, fair and compassionate education for all, not just for some, aiming to foster a more equal and equitable society.

  • Foster Collaboration: Initiate and facilitate collaborative grassroots inspiring projects in education and wellbeing, among educators, students, parents, community members and other key stakeholders in education to create inspiring learning environments.

  • Transform Education Culture: Lead efforts to re-imagine, re-build and transform existing industrial education learning culture into a humanized education culture that emphasizes empowerment, celebration, and appreciation.

  • Build Community Capacities: Strengthen the local and regional education communities by enhancing social and cultural capital and supporting harmonization of education and market needs.
