Hvar Marine Biology Station Field Lab Open House

On Tuesday, July 14, Pharos Institute and Boz Institute of San Diego, CA hosted an open house at the Bonj Complex Hvar Marine Biology Field Station. The program first showcased the work of the Hvar students and the Boz team the past year in carrying out research
on sea quality composition and the regenerative worm. The program then highlighted the ongoing work of the Boz team and featured two international students and their engagement with mapping the invasive species, the lionfish, and the anthropogenic and environmental challenges to Posidonia.sea grass in the coastal areas of Hvar.

All involved stressed their thanks to partners and sponsors that have made the opening of the lab space and this research work possible until now inc
luding the City of Stari Grad, Communal Services, Hvar High School, the Stari Grad Library, Viking Dive Center and supporters including the Dalmatian Islands Environmental Foundation (DIEF) and earlier support from the Miličić Foundation and the SD Zupanija.
