Overview

This is an interdisciplinary department focused on embedding the history of the island into a broader Mediterranean and Southeast Europe perspective to explore issues of public discourse across the social sciences and humanities. It aims to link local knowledge with global knowledge in way that fosters a rich dialogue and establishes Hvar as site for bringing researchers together.
